Limits, plans and where the friction is
What the tiers actually restrict, which limits you will hit, and the two that stop being about the plan. Stated plainly, because a manual that hides the ceiling is a sales page.
-
Your plan, your usage, on one page
Current plan, what it allows, what you are using, and the switch between monthly and annual with the annual discount shown rather than buried. Managing the subscription itself goes to Stripe, which is why that button leaves the site.
Watch Usage shown against the limit, not against nothing, is what lets you see a cap coming.
-
What each tier holds back
Free is one room, ten documents, five folders, fifty uploads an hour, seven days of analytics. Pro adds unlimited documents and folders, six hundred uploads an hour and ninety days of analytics across five rooms. Business removes the room count and takes analytics to a year. Trial is pro with an end date.
Watch Fifty uploads an hour is a speed guard, not a document limit. A folder structure copied from an old deal can burn through it, and the message that appears will name the number.
-
Room settings, where the room's own behaviour lives
NDA text, whether downloads are allowed, whether a watermark is on, and the room's slug. The NDA text here is what a visitor accepts and what the log snapshots, so write it once and read it back before the first recipient does.
Do this Put the clause that matters for your deal in the text: non-solicitation if your staff will see the buyer list, a no-reliance line if you are handing over forecasts.
-
Upload rate, the limit people actually hit
Uploads are metered per hour rather than per month, which suits a room built in a weekend and closed in a fortnight. When a burst trips the guard the flash names the number and the window, and files already in the room stay in it.
Do this Build the folder structure first, then upload in the order a buyer reads: overview, financials, contracts, employment, compliance, tax.
- □ You know which tier your current process needs, from usage rather than from the pricing page
- □ The folder structure is built before the documents arrive
- □ An expiry date is set on every link, including the friendly ones
- Prices are per workspace, not per user, so an accountant with eleven clients and eleven rooms is one bill. Business is the tier for that shape of work.
- There is no per-page or per-gigabyte charge, which is the line most comparable quotes bury.
- Documents accepted: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, to 50MB each. Non-PDF files are converted on the way in.
